COVID-19 UPDATE: As of July 18, we did conduct our Crested Butte workshop with a limited group using safety protocols. Masks for all indoors, in vehicles, and in the field when John and Alena were in close proximity of participants. Antiseptic wipes were always available. It seemed to work well, and participants did not feel that their learning was impeded, nor their joy exploring and photographing the best Nature has to offer in Colorado! This is your opportunity to learn landscape photography directly from John Fielder in Colorado’s most scenic locales, and from time to time in other states and countries.

Find out how John creates his award-winning images and gain a deeper understanding of the visual aspects of nature. In comprehensive classroom sessions and at field shoots in John’s favorite locations, learn how to spot photo opportunities, experiment with different perspectives, improve compositions and get an insider’s look at professional techniques.  We use digital cameras only and bring our laptop computers for constructive critiques.

Appropriate for practiced beginner and intermediate photographers, John’s Colorado Photography Workshop programs are designed to help students reach at least their next level of ability and enrollment is limited to ensure the highest quality experience. Most workshops are conducted with the assistance of a two additional  professional landscape photographers so that everyone enjoys personal attention and no question is left unanswered. Instruction in post-processing of digital files in Adobe Lightroom is included in most workshops.
