Nothing matches the freedom, utmost luxury, and comfort than a private Alaskan yacht charter. Explore untouched beaches. Have unparalleled access to whales, wildlife, and the best sites for glacier viewing. Complete your birding list or photographers dream portfolio. There is no better way to share the joy of Alaska wilderness with your fellow photographers than on a 95-foot private Alaskan luxury yacht. Limit 8 passengers.Cruising the less traveled and uninhabited waterways of the Inside Passage is unparalleled for the impact it will make on your life. All four staterooms have their own luxurious bathroom. This Super-Yacht has stabilizers that minimize ocean motion. Relax in the sunroom or roof top deck. Take off and explore narrow iceberg-strewn fiords with Caly (the 30 ft. fishing tender to The Caledonia). Get up close and personal with icebergs and seals in sea kayaks. Hike to magnificent waterfalls and photograph extraordinary wildflowers, and perhaps see both black and brown bears.
Neil Nickerson owns the ship. I sailed with ex-Coast Guard Captain Nickerson in 2008 for 9 days in a 50-foot sailboat through the Inside Passage on a family photography trip with my 2 daughters and fellow photographer John Schnell. Captain Neil is the consummate professional seaman with a mellow personality. He knows the ins and outs of the Inside Passage as well as anyone. John Schnell complements Neil by adding his 30 years of experience exploring and photographing Alaska. I’ve known John for 20 years. Other crew include an executive chef and ship mechanic.I will let the photography included with this message do my talking. Suffice it to say I value my free time highly and have not conducted any workshops to my personal “bucket list” world destinations for several years. The intimacy of this excursion on this particular ship with these particular crew to this particular place has brought me out of “retirement” and I would like to share this with 8 lucky people. There are not very many places on Earth that equal Alaska’s Inside Passage for photography opportunities of the land and its wildlife.
